Skyler and Kyle’s Garden Engagement at Cross Estate Gardens

There’s something so effortlessly romantic about springtime at Cross Estate Gardens, and Skyler and Kyle’s engagement session fit the setting perfectly. Nestled in the heart of Bernardsville, New Jersey, the gardens were full of soft greenery, blooming florals, and that fresh mid-May glow that made every moment feel calm, joyful, and intimate.

From the very beginning, these two were simply so easy to photograph. Skyler and Kyle share the kind of connection that feels both gentle and playful; constantly making each other laugh, sneaking little looks at one another, and fully embracing the fun of being together. Their session felt less like “posing” and more like spending time with two best friends completely comfortable in each other’s presence.

One of my favorite parts of photographing engagement sessions is getting to know my couples before the wedding day, and spending the evening with these two made me even more excited for what’s ahead! They’ll be hosting their intimate wedding next summer at HollyHedge Estate, which honestly feels like the perfect fit for them. Between the romantic garden atmosphere and their easygoing personalities, I already know their day is going to be incredibly heartfelt and beautiful!

Not only are Skyler and Kyle sweet and kind to one another, but they’ve also truly been enjoying the wedding planning process together; something I always love hearing. It’s so special watching couples lean into this season of life with excitement, intention, and joy!

I cannot wait to celebrate these two at HollyHedge next summer. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with so much love, laughter, and meaningful moments; a day I simple cannot wait for! I hope you enjoy their session as much as I did photographing it
